This Privacy Policy describes how Goods Insured, LLC & Health Shop, LLC doing business as Goods Insured and Healths Insured ("GoodsInsured”, “HealthsInsured” , “Goods & Healths Insured”, "we”,"us" or "our") collects, uses in connection with our website, mobile applications, and other digital properties that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Sites”). We provide online insurance brokerage, insurance coverage quotes and estimates, and related services (the “Services”), services offered by Goods & Healths Insured, through the Site (the Site and these services will be referred to in this Privacy Policy as the "Service"). By accessing, visiting, using or submitting information to the Service, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy, please do not access, visit, use or submit information to the Service. This Privacy Policy is part of, and is governed by, the terms and conditions set forth in the Goods & Healths Insured Terms of Use. The Service is not intended for visitors who are under eighteen (18) years of age. We do not knowingly solicit or collect information from individuals who are not eighteen (18) years old.

This Privacy Policy may change at any time, and we will notify you of any material changes by posting a message on our home page. Your continued use of the Sites or Services after any such chance will constitute your acceptance of any modified Privacy Policy. Visitor to Goods & Healths Insured.

You can use some of the Sites by just browsing without logging in (as a “Visitor”) or by creating and maintaining an account to apply for and/or purchase one or more insurance policies through us (as a “Member”). Each of Visitors and Members may be referred to in this Privacy Policy by the terms “you” or “your.” Some of our Services are only available to Members.

Sites’ Visitors

From Visitors, whether or not they are or become Members, we collect: information about the technical mechanisms you used to access the Sites, such as your browser and operating system type; the link that brought you to our Sites; data points that help our analytics function and which tell us what brought you to a particular spot on our Sites; and your IP address, which is automatically anonymized when used by our third party analytics services. Collectively, this is “Usage Information.”

We use Usage Information to inspect, analyze, and improve our Sites and ensure they function well with the technology used by our Visitors. In addition to analytics about the demographics of our Sites’ Visitors, we use IP Addresses for Visitors not to individually identify you, but to confirm we can deliver the Sites and Services to you based on local legal rules.

Information you provide to Goods & Healths Insured

When you access or use the Service, use the 'chat' feature on the Service to communicate with one of our service representatives, submit a request for an insurance quote or application for insurance, or otherwise submit a request for information about the products or services that we offer, we may ask you to provide information that may identify you personally, including your first name, last name, and email address. In order to receive results from our Intuitive Quoting Mechanism, you will be required to provide us with additional personal information which includes, but is not limited to: your email address, zip code, marital status, employment status, risk tolerance, living situation details, property and vehicle ownership, family information such as number of children and number of pets, whether you are a homeowner or a renter, your income, amounts of your savings and debts, and general details about your current insurance coverage. We will also ask you for information about your business’s and/or employees’, property, health, or other identifiable information in order for us to assess your insurance needs in your business and/or employees to be able to provide you with quoted products and services that you request. Information we request about your business may include the number of employees that work at your company, your company's average income and your company's Federal Employer ID Number (FEIN). In addition, if you elect to purchase products or services through the Service, you will need to provide business payment account information in order for us to process your purchase.

Information Goods & Healths Insured automatically collects from you; cookies. We may automatically collect information from you when you use the Service using 'cookies.' Cookies are small amounts of data that are stored within your computer's Internet browser and that are accessed and recorded by the websites that you visit so that they can recognize the same browser navigating online at a later time.

Information that may be collected by cookies when you use the Service may include, without limitation:

  • the pages you visit within the Service;
  • the date and time of your visit to the Service;
  • the amount of time you spend using the Service;
  • the Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet; and/or your computer and connection information such as your browser type and version, operating system and platform.

Information collected by third parties. If you visit the Service from a third-party website the third party may give you a unique code, cookie or graphic which will uniquely identify you. This will only happen if you link directly from a third-party website to the Service. Your activities on the Service while such a code is active may be reported back to the third party. The presence of a third-party navigation bar at the top of any page on the Service is an indication that the third-party website may be able to see your activity on the Service.

Insurance companies: If you request an insurance quote through the Service, or otherwise use the Service to purchase insurance coverage, we may share the information you provide through the Service with insurance companies. We will only share your information with insurance companies as necessary to provide you with the products or services you have requested through the Service. If you elect to proceed with purchasing insurance from a particular insurance company, that insurance company may seek additional information about you, including by contacting you directly by email, postal mail or telephone or running a credit check on you. We will obtain your prior consent if an insurance company intends to conduct a credit check on you. Insurance companies are only permitted to contact you directly in order to provide you with the products or services you have requested through the Service.

Third-party insurance agents: If we are unable to obtain insurance coverage for your business through our direct carrier partnerships, in certain situations, we might sell or distribute your information to a third-party agent to attempt to secure said coverage or if you selected a specific carrier that required agent to consumer relation often called “captive agents”.

Third-party marketing partners: If you opt-in to receive marketing communications from third parties, we may, from time to time, share your name, email address and postal mailing address with a few carefully selected third-party marketing partners that we believe offer products or services that may be of interest to you when is the case you the customer has selected such Insurance Carrier or Partner. Our service providers: We may share your information with third-party contractors or service providers who provide certain services to us or on our behalf, such as operating and supporting the Service. These service providers will only have access to the information needed to perform these limited functions on our behalf and are required to provide your information with at least the same level of protection and security as we use with regard to your information.

Our affiliates: We may share some or all of your information with our subsidiaries and corporate affiliates, joint ventures, or other companies under common control with us. We will require these entities to comply with the terms of this Privacy Policy with regard to their use of your information.

Companies that acquire our business or assets: If our company or our assets are acquired by, transferred to or merged with another company, that company may acquire the information about you collected by us. We will require the applicable company to assume the rights and obligations that are applicable to your information at the time of the acquisition, transfer or merger.

Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of these websites. If you visit these websites or provide any information directly to parties other than Goods & Healths Insured (even if those websites display the Goods or Healths Insured Logo / Brand), different policies may apply to the collection and use of your information. We encourage you to investigate and ask questions before accessing third-party websites or disclosing information to third parties.

Third-party advertisers. The Service may include third-party advertising, links to advertiser websites, and other content from third-party businesses. These third-party sites, businesses, and advertisers may use web beacons and cookies to measure the effectiveness of their ads, personalize or optimize advertising content and to track users who click on the links made available through the Service. We do not have access to or control over web beacons or cookies that these third parties may use. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Privacy protection for children. In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we will not knowingly collect information from persons under the age of thirteen (13). If we later learn that an individual under the age of thirteen (13) has provided information through the Service, we will take appropriate steps to remove that individual's information from our database and restrict that individual from future access to the Service.

Use of information outside of your country of residence. The Service is directed to users located in those states in the United States in which Goods Insured & Healths Insured or any of its affiliates are licensed insurance agents or brokers. The Service is not intended as a solicitation for insurance in any state where Goods & Healths Insured or any of its affiliates are not licensed. If you are located outside of the United States and choose to use the Service or provide your information to us, your information will be transferred, processed and stored in the United States. U.S. privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your jurisdiction. Your agreement to the terms of this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of information represents your agreement to this practice. If you do not want your information transferred to or processed or stored in the United States, you should not use the Service.

  • Comply with applicable laws, lawful requests, and legal process, such as to respond to subpoenas or requests from government authorities;
  • Protect our, your or others’ rights, privacy, safety or property (including by making and defending legal claims);
  • Audit our internal processes for compliance with legal and contractual requirements and internal policies;

  • Provide, maintain and improve customer service;
  • Tailor your experience with the Services to your interests;
  • Develop and improve the Sites and the Services;

We may also combine your information with the information of other users so that we can generally assess users' preferences or to otherwise improve the Service. This combined information will not identify you personally

How We Secure Your Information

We secure information stored in our data stores using encryption at rest and use additional encryption mechanisms to secure certain sensitive fields on our database. Our Sites use HTTPS and SSL protocols, and transmissions from the Sites to our servers use TLS encryption standard or better. Vendors who receive personal information from us are contractually obligated to impose no less than reasonable security measures on their storage infrastructure, and in any case no lesser measures than they use for their own data.

While we take commercially reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, we cannot guarantee perfect security - no internet-based service can. No security system is impenetrable. Despite our security measures, we cannot guarantee the security of our databases, nor can we guarantee that the information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to and from us over the Internet.

Opt out of marketing email. From time to time we may send you marketing communications about our products and services using the email address you provide as part of the registration process. Newsletters, Email and Chat

Visitors and Members may sign up for email newsletters, or email or chat with us on the Sites by providing their name and email address. In connection with our marketing campaigns, we also collect and use information about your engagement with our marketing emails (e.g., whether you open and/or forward those emails) to make sure that the products and offers that we inform you of are relevant to you.

Security procedures. We have implemented technical and administrative security measures to protect user information. To guard against unauthorized disclosure of your information, information that is passed between your browser and Goods Insured & Healths Insured LLC is encrypted with the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) system. We also use industry-standard practices such as encrypted storage, firewalls, encrypted communication between inner linux boxes and password protection systems to safeguard the confidentiality of your information. Each of our employees who have access to your information is aware of our security policies, and your information is only available to those employees who need it to perform their jobs. However, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information, and no networked system or Internet transmission is entirely secure. We assume no responsibility or liability if any information relating to you is intercepted and/or used by an unintended recipient.

Retention of your information. We retain information for active accounts as long as it is necessary and relevant for our operations. In addition, we may retain information from closed accounts to comply with the law, prevent fraud, collect any fees owed, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigation, enforce the Goods Insured or Healths Insured Terms of Use and take other actions permitted by law. The information we retain about you will be handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Notification of changes

We will notify you of material changes to this Privacy Policy by posting the amended terms on the Site at least thirty (30) days before the effective date of the changes. You may cancel your account prior to the end of the applicable thirty (30) day period by contacting us using the contact information in Section 15 below. If you choose to cancel your account within this thirty (30) day period, you will not be bound by the new terms.

Establishing an Account

To become a Member, you may establish an account on the Sites by providing your name, email address, and other information. You may also choose to login via a social network or other third-party platform (for example, Facebook or Google). We may collect information from that platform, such as your social network alias, email address, first and last name, age, number of “friends” on the social network and, depending on your third-party platform settings, a list of your “friends” or connections. Our collection and processing of the information we obtain from third-party platforms are governed by the requirements these platforms impose on us in their relevant terms and conditions.

Opt out of marketing email. From time to time we may send you marketing communications about our products and services using the email address you provide as part of the registration process. You may elect not to receive these email communications from us by either following the link provided in the applicable email communication or contacting us at [email protected] or [email protected] .

Applying for Insurance

To get an insurance quote, you may need to supply your date of birth, gender, occupation, address, smoking status, height and weight, certain family history, certain health history, certain driving history, and your citizenship status (collectively, “Request Quote” or “Quote Location” buttons). We use this information to calculate the price estimates for coverage you request.

To apply for an insurance policy, you will need to become a Member and also submit extra information to Quote successfully (collectively, “Application Information”).

If and when you become a Member, you will create an account password. This is referred to in this Privacy Policy, together with your Application and/or Quote Information, as “Account Information.”

If you use the Services, we also use a cookie to recognize you on return visits and, if you have an account, expedite the login process. You can remove cookies through your browser preferences menu, though the exact method varies depending on the type of browser you use – but note that you won’t be able to log into our Services if your cookies are completely disabled. If you visit from a mobile device, we may reference your device identifier or other information about where your visit originated. The various cookies used on our Sites last for ninety or more days.

You can opt-out of certain cookies and tracking technologies by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance Opt-out here. Note that this opt-out only applies to certain cookies and tracking technologies we use.

Web beacons (also sometimes called “clear GIFs”) are small files stored and/or served on a website on in an email which collect, track, or transmit a data point back to us or to a third party.

We use web beacons to facilitate advertising and functionality on our Sites, as well, including without limitation to:

  • Associate our users with the reports they provide about satisfaction with our Sites and Services;
  • Administer and monitor email campaigns;
  • Analyze the portions of our Sites that are used most often by our Visitors, as well as how Visitors interact with our Sites;
  • Perform A/B testing on our Sites;
  • Optimize interaction with our data stores;
  • Improve the functionality and usefulness of our support and support chat functions;
  • Analyze the efficacy of our own advertising campaigns;
  • Customize the content displayed to you on our Sites;
  • Organize and administer other web beacons and cookies on our Sites;
  • Conduct web analytics on usage of our Sites and Services; and
  • Enable, improve, and effect targeted and re-targeted advertising for our advertising partners on both our Sites and their third-party sites such as Facebook.

In some cases, the above web beacons functions may be performed by custom HTML in our Sites’ code.

We may use cookies and/or web beacons to track if and when a user abandons a purchase before it is complete and attempt to re-engage that user for the same or a similar purchase, as well as making offers for related purchases to that user.

Financial Information

If you submit a credit card payment through our Services, for example to purchase insurance coverage, we will transmit your payment details, including without limitation your credit card number, to the payee through an encrypted transmission. We do not store credit card information on our own servers or associate it with your other Account Information for any purpose other than completing your purchase.

If you purchase temporary insurance coverage through us, you will be required to provide bank account information to pay for and enable that coverage. That bank information is stored on our servers in encrypted form and will be accessed and used to complete your purchase and maintain your temporary coverage. We will delete this bank account information within 30 days of the conclusion of your temporary coverage, once all payments have been completed.

If you submit credit card or other payment information via DocuSign, it will be temporarily stored in encrypted form on DocuSign’s servers, and we will use the content to securely transmit your payment information to the carrier.

Job Applicants

When visit the careers portion of our Sites, we collect the information that you provide to us in connection with your job application. This includes business and personal contact information, professional credentials and skills, educational and work history, and other information of the type that may be included in a resume. This may also include diversity information that you voluntarily provide. We use this information to facilitate our recruitment activities and process employment applications, such as by evaluating a job candidate for an employment activity, and monitoring recruitment statistics. We may also use this information to operate and improve the Services, and as otherwise necessary for compliance, fraud prevention, and safety purposes.

Notice to California Residents

We are required by the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”) to provide to California residents an explanation of how we collect, use and share their personal Information, and of the rights and choices we offer California residents regarding our handling of their personal information.

Under the CCPA, this Notice to California Residents and the privacy practices and rights it describes do not apply to the information we collect, use or disclose about Visitors and Members when they initiate the process of applying for our financial products or services (i.e., applying for insurance). This is because this information is subject to the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (“GLBA”), and implementing regulations, or the California Financial Information Privacy Act (“FIPA”), or to information related to our business contacts. The GLBA and/or FIPA governs the information of Visitors and Members who initiated the process of applying for our financial products or services.

We do not sell personal information. As we explain in this Privacy Policy, we use cookies and other tracking technologies to analyze website traffic and facilitate advertising.

California Residents’ Privacy Rights

Except as excluded above, the CCPA grants you the following rights:

Identity verification

The CCPA requires us to verify the identity of the individual submitting a request to access or delete personal information before providing a substantive response to the request. Authorized agents.
